El Museo Geológico Chiu Chiu cuenta con unan amplia sala de exhibición, la cual incluye 200 piezas que rescatan la Paleontología de la zona y a su vez la Minería. Además hay una colección de rocas, minerales y fósiles de gran valor patrimonial, la que en su mayoría corresponde a muestras recolectadas de las faenas del mineral de El Abra y zonas aledañas.

Geological museum Chiu Chiu

The Geological Museum Chiu Chiu counts with join wide room of exhibition, which includes 200 pieces that rescue the Paleontology of the zone and in turn the Mining industry. In addition there are a collection of rocks, minerals and fossils of great patrimonial value, which in the main corresponds to samples gathered of the tasks of the mineral of The Bay and bordering zones.

Museo Arqueológico y Etnográfico del Loa

El museo exhibe una interesante muestra de los pueblos andinos de Calama, desde cuando eran cazadores y recolectores hasta la llegada de los españoles, reflejando su desarrollo histórico y cultural. Asimismo, cuenta con una colección de artesanía en piedra volcánica, cactus, tejidos, cerámica y cobre. Está localizado en el interior del Parque El Loa.

Archaeological and Ethnographic museum of the Loa

The museum exhibits an interesting sample of the Andean peoples of Calama, from when they were hunters and recollectors up to the arrival of the Spanish, reflecting your historical and cultural development. Likewise, it possesses a collection of crafts in volcanic stone, cactus, fabrics, ceramics and copper. It is located inside the Park the Loa.

El museo Etnográfico de Caspana, esta ubicado en el Poblado de Caspana, cuenta con colecciones arqueológicas del sitio "Cementerio de los Abuelos", cuyas muestra hablan sobre la etnografía de los antiguos habitantes prehispánicos de esta localidad, que hasta el dia de hoy son recordados.

Museo Andrés Sabella

Este es un Museo que cuenta con una pinacoteca, iconografía y recreaciones de la casa del escritor Andrés Sabella, nacido en Antofagasta en el año 1912, quien escribió entre otras obras el libro “Norte Grande”, dando así el nombre genérico a la zona que comprende el Desierto de Atacama. Cuenta además con una consulta médica y ambientas de la casa del médico y poeta Antonio Rendic, conocido en la ciudad como el “Médico de los Pobres”, lo cual hace que todos los turistas se llenes de cultura de los poetas chilenos.

Museum Andrés Sabella

This one is a Museum that possesses(relies on) an art gallery, iconography and recreations of the house of the writer Andrés Sabella, born in Antofagasta in the year 1912, who wrote between other works the book " Big North ", giving this way the generic name to the zone that understands the Atacama Desert. It possesses in addition a medical consultation and you set of the house of the doctor and poet Antonio Rendic, known in the city as the “Doctor of the Poor ", which does that all the tourists you fill of culture of the Chilean poets.

Museo del Ferrocarril a Bolivia

Este es un Monumento Nacional, que data del año 1873. Esta línea férrea sirvió de conexión entre Antofagasta y Oruro, en Bolivia, para el negocio de aquellos años que era el transporte de plata y salitre. Además en este lugar se exhiben elementos ferroviarios pertenecientes a las empresas que administraban la explotación de ambos minerales; fotografías, documentos, instrumentos, mobiliario y mapas entre otros.

Museum of the Railroad to Bolivia

This one is a National Monument, which dates back of the year 1873. This ferreous line used as connection between Antofagasta and Oruro, in Bolivia, for the business of those years that was the transport of silver and saltpeter. In addition in this place there show themselves railway elements belonging to the companies that were administering the exploitation of both minerals; photographies, documents, instruments, furniture and maps between others.

Museo Mineralógico de la Universidad de Atacama

Este Museo posee una de las colecciones Mineralogicas más completas de Sudamérica, además en ella podemos encontrar una muestra de Paleontología y Petrografía, incluyendo una colección de meteoritos encontrados en el mineral de plata de Chañarcillo, explotado en el siglo XIX y que dio origen a grandes fortunas nacionales. Todo esto puede ser de agrado para quienes disfruten de las Ciencias.

Mineralogical museum of Atacama's University

This Museum possesses one of the most complete Mineralogical collections of South America, in addition in it we can find a sample of Paleontology and Petrography, including a collection of meteorites found in the mineral of Chañarcillo's silver, exploited in the 19th century and that gave origin to big national fortunes. Museo Arqueológico R. P. Gustavo Le Paige

La historia de este museo se inicia con la llegada a Chile del sacerdote jesuita R. P. Gustavo Le Paige, de origen Belga, quien en el año 1955 se radica en San Pedro de Atacama y comienza su labor pastoral. El Padre Le Paige comenzó a recorrer los cementerios y los lugares habitados por la cultura atacameña, donde comenzó a recolectar material arqueológico de incalculable valor.
En el año 1957 inaugura, en su casa parroquial el primer museo, el que contenía numerosas piezas prehispánicas y momias atacameñas.

Para el visitante, el museo arqueológico es una visita interesante y obligada, ya que le permitirá conocer los aspectos más relevantes de la historia de San Pedro de Atacama

Archaeological Museum R. P. Gustavo Le Paige

The history of this museum there begins with the arrival to Chile of the priest Jesuit R. P. Gustavo Le Paige, of Belgian origin, who in the year 1955 establishes himself in San Pedro of Atacama and begins your pastoral work. The Father Paige began to cross the cemeteries and the places lived by the culture atacameña, where it began to gather archaeological material of great value.
